engine/generators such as rental or portable equipment. Additionally, emergency and non–emergency generator sets are
regulated differently. Therefore, it is important to know how the EPA distinguishes emergency from non–emergency stationary
engines and how the regulations for stationary applications
differ from non-road engine regulations.
